It is different this time, and it feels incredible.
I have already managed programmers several times. I led teams and members through good or bad times in the project cycle. I was the mentor for several junior developers. But this time is different, becoming an elected lead developer.
My current team consists of 8 senior developers and a scrum master. All team members are highly skilled, with at least 5-6 years of working experience. Some have 10+ years of experience. (We have a dedicated QA team from the client side. )
Mainly, the lead developers are selected by management in other projects. I’m not saying that it is terrible. But somehow, it feels incredible that between very talented developers – they voted me as a lead developer.
I will continue to do my best to support my team and deliver a valuable solution to our client.
That’s it for today. Back to the work/team/project.
